Environmental Club Plastics Video
Plastic pollution is circling the Earth. Millions and millions of tiny pieces of plastic are destroying our oceans and killing our animals. Back in week one of this term, Anthony Hill and Shelli, came to our school to show us how bad plastic really is. We collected rubbish around the school for ten minutes. We inspected all of this plastic and separated them into categories. In total, we found 521 pieces of plastic. Three hundred and eleven of those pieces were things like cling wrap and food packaging remnants. Also found were twenty-six fruit box straw covers. Mircoplastics are microscopic pieces of plastics. Which have been found in the bodies of fish and other animals. This shows that rubbish can be hidden in plain sight. Looking for this rubbish and putting them in the right bin can save the Earth.
