Exploring Emotional Literacy through Emojis
Each day this week choose an emoji to reflect on. Every time you visit this page, a new emoji will appear on the right hand side of the screen.

Your Task:

1. Carefully draw the emoji in your workbook with as much detail as possible.
2. Think about where this emoji best fits on the mood meter (high or law energy, pleasant or unpleasant). Does this emotion best fit in the red, yellow, green or blue? Write your answer in your workbook.
3. What emotion word best describes the way the emoji is feeling? Write your answer neatly in your workbook.
4. Think about the emotion you choose to best describe the way your emoji is feeling. What clues did you use to work this out? (eg: Wide mouth, dropped jaw, wide eyes, etc)
5. Finally, think about a time you have felt this way. Write about this experience neatly in your workbook. Think about what was happening at the time and how it felt to be experiencing this emotion.
   For example: I was apprehensive when I went to the water park for the first time. The water slide was very tall and very steep. By the time I made it to the top, my legs were wobbly and my breathing was faster and shallower breaths. I felt like the palms of my hand were sweaty and I could feel my heart pounding in my chest.)
