An imaginative recount is the re-telling of events in sequential order. The imaginative part allows for embellishment and exaggeration of your experiences.
Today you are going to recount your holiday experience in the form of a letter to a friend.

Imagine you had the opportunity to blast off into outer space for your holidays and now you have reached your destination you can write a letter to your friends and family back home to tell them what they have missed out on!

You want to make your friends and family jealous of your incredible trip right? Then let's make sure you write a really exciting letter. If you're stuck for ideas, you can think about:

• How did you travel? Were you in a brand new, state of the art space ship? Perhaps a secret government rocket? Maybe you snuck aboard without anyone knowing. Was it a comfortable trip? How long did it take?
• Where did you go? Was it a planet in our solar system? Perhaps you went a bit further. Maybe you didn't go to a planet at all. Did you visit a space station? Or maybe a moon or comet?
• Who were you with? Did you fly solo or did you have a team of astronauts with you? Did you meet anyone, or anything along the way? How can you best describe who, or what you met to someone back on Earth?
• What happened? After launching into space something exciting is bound to happen. Did you complete a mission? Help someone in distress? Advance scientific research? Maybe you finally found a place for peace and quiet away from nagging teachers and parents. Write about what you did out in space.
