Text Type: Procedure Writing

• A procedure text tells the reader how to complete a task, for example how to make something or how to do something.
• The purpose of a procedure text is to provide sequenced steps or directions so that the reader can successfully perform the task.
• Recipes and science experiments are common examples of procedural texts.   They use headings and sub-headings they can be structured in the following manner.
